The Black Keys, Cat Power, Sheryl Crow and Sun Volt are among the bands performing at a testimonial to kinfolk pioneer Woody Guthrie and American writer John Steinbeck.
'A Tribute To John Steinbeck, Woody Guthrie And The American Spirit' will charter place September 20 at the Sleep Train Pavilion at Concord in San Francisco.
The event will feature of speech an parade of historical artifacts and rare video footage from the Guthrie and Steinbeck archives, including Guthrie's original lyrics, nontextual matter and photographs, and signed first editions of Steinbeck's novels.
Henry Rollins will as well give a spoken-word performance at the event.
Each of the artists performing at This Land Is Your Land were handpicked by organizers for their allegiance to social activism, environmental causes and human rights.
Attendees are bucked up to land non-perishable food items to benefit the Food Bank of Contra Costa.
